There is fishing, hiking, canoeing, camping, boating, Mountain biking, ATV touring, bird watching, golfing, swimming, tennis, horseback riding, moose watching and you can even pan for GOLD!
The town itself has many activities during the summer; craft fairs, art shows, parades, summer festivals, live music, weddings, etc..
and you can even see the lastest flick at the Lakeside movie theatre.
Upon arriving at Kodiak, an information packet will be at your disposal, it will outline various activities you can do- if you'd like.

There are two golf course's in Rangeley. Mingo Springs
located off of RT. 4 and Evergreen Golf Club off of Dallas
Hill Rd towards Saddleback Ski area.

QUICK TRIPS:
Smalls Falls- Approximatly 11 miles south of Rangeley on Route 4, this popular spot is on the right side of the road. The falls have numerous short trails and pools for swimming.
Coos Canyon- You can get to this destination by following Route 4 into Oquossoc and taking Route 17 approximately 22 miles towards Rumford. A great place to explore with a picnic lunch. There are waterfalls and places to wade in the water.
Rangeley River Corridor- Old time rail beds that were part of the Rangeley Lakes and Sandy river Narrow Gauge Railroad can be found and are perfect for taking a stroll or ride a bike. Located on Hatchery Road behind the Oquossoc grocery store.
East Kennebago Mountain- Mountain bike this 3 mile trail or hike it. This scenic stretch of mountain is approximately 10 miles east of Rangeley on Route 16.
