Located and built on a mountain, Kodiak, a
log home, offers spectacular views of
Rangeley Lake, surrounding mountains,
forests, coves and wildlife, all in a secluded,
private setting. From the large front deck
you can see for miles and in the vast distance
you can view the beginnings of the
Presidential Range, known as the White
Mountains of which Mt. Washington belongs.
The summer evening sunsets are gorgeous,
with each one being quite different than the

Kodiak offers you the comforts of home plus
a few extras. A large kitchen (pictured
below) with a terra cotta tiled floor, a gas
stove, microwave, toaster and a side by side
refridgerator with ice maker, plus the best
tasting water around.

The home can accommodate up to 6 people
comfortably and each room has its own
unique appeal. There is plenty of parking
and we have an easy access ramp into the
house.

On the first floor you will find a cozy dining area, a sunken
living room with TV, DVD player and a full pullout futon
couch. There is a full bathroom with corner shower
decorated in an appealing ice gray. The guest bedroom has a
futon bunk bed that can accommodate 3 persons (or a cozy
room for 2), and it has plenty of storage space. It is
tastefully done with a rustic, warm atmosphere with full
carpet, bureau and rocking chair. The kitchen is large with a
double sink, side by side fridge with ice maker, terra cotta
tile flooring and your choice of lighting.

The second floor is fully carpeted and has a catwalk that
looks down onto the first floor. The large trapazoid
windows are at one end of the catwalk and offer stunning
views of the lake and its gorgeous surroundings. There is a
cozy couch perfect to escape to with a cup of tea or coffee
and indulge in a good book, this area also has a desk to set
up a laptop if you desire.

At the other end of the catwalk you will find the master
bedroom, complete with a four post queen cannonball bed
and a relaxing whirlpool tub. There is a full closet, bureau,
and personal reading lights on either side of the bed.

The interior of Kodiak is mostly wood with a tasetful mix of
posts, beams and white walls. Vaulted ceilings are pleasing
to the eye and the dining nook is a great place to hang
around and play a few games. The front deck offers fantastic
views of Rangeley Lake and the mountains and our porch
has a ramp for easy access into the house.

The basement offers a washer and dryer for your
convenience, a really cool air hockey table and a walkout
basement door.
